Andy Peterson was a three sport star in the late 1980s. During his junior and senior years he was awarded five MVPs, two in basketball, two in track, and one in soccer. In soccer he anchored a solid defense which allowed only 1.1 goals per game over two seasons. In two years of varsity basketball he led the team in scoring with 16.7 points per game which is 9th all-time for a career and averaged 9.5 rebounds per game which is 7th all-time. He is also 10th all-time in career shooting percentage with 49.7%. In track and field he is second all-time in the 400 meter dash, 50.9sec; second all-time in the triple jump, 12.40m; and 4th all-time in the high jump, 1.88m. Andy played with great sportsmanship and was a fine role model for all Morrison athletes.
