2015 Inductee

Bob Sweeney was one of Morrison’s first great athletes from the school’s early years. His strongest sport was track and field—he held the school records in the shot put, discus and javelin—but he also anchored the defense on the soccer team, was the top rebounder in the basketball team and a power hitter on the fast-pitch softball team. Bob’s shot put record of 45’1/2” (13.73m) remained the school record for 43 years, from 1961-2004 and was an outstanding achievement.
