Joy Tomlinson was a Morrison athlete admired by her classmates who remember her as a confident and strong player. Winner of the 1982 Outstanding Senior Athlete Award, Joy was involved in all sports available during her high school career. Joy excelled in basketball, a sport she learned playing with her older brothers and sister. Joy was a four year varsity basketball player, winner of 3 MVP awards and team captain her junior year. Her 792 points rank her 7th on the all time career point list. Joy also played three years of varsity volleyball, winning the MVP award twice. She played tennis each year and even managed to squeeze track into her schedule one year.
