Stephen Hovater

When thinking about Stephen Hovater playing basketball one remembers him slashing to the basket, fighting through the defense, diving for loose balls, laying the ball softly into the hoop, and playing with an amazing amount of drive and energy. During his four years on the varsity basketball team, Stephen scored the second most career points with 1901, made the most career assists with 539 and grabbed the second most career rebounds with 879. He led the team to two Far East Tournament championships while earning multiple All-Tournament honors and three team MVPs. Stephen was also an excellent soccer player for the Mustangs and a top-ten high jumper for the track team.
