This course is a practical application of the study of missions. It develops the ability to touch others for Christ and includes involvement in a short-term mission trip over Easter vacation for which funds must be raised. Selected Bible sections are included. This course fulfills the Junior year Service elective requirement. (Prerequisite: Junior or Senior standing.)

Criteria for the School Missions Trip

  • Meeting school eligibility requirements
  • Parental approval
  • Is taking or has taken Missions Bible class
  • Must be a Christian
  • Selection Committee approval of the following:
  • Trustworthiness
  • Nothing about attitude or actions that would hinder their participation on the trip (both from the perspective of witnessing and group dynamics)
  • There is sufficient evidence that the life of the team member has enough spiritual depth that it can be shared with others
  • Mature enough to go on a trip
